Surf Expo Attracts a Diverse Group of Retail Buyers to September Show
ORLANDO, Fla. (August 15, 2022) – Surf Expo, the premier watersports and coastal lifestyle tradeshow, will feature an exciting roster of retail buyers at its upcoming show at the Orange County Convention Center in Orlando on Sept. 8-10.
“Surf Expo thrives on creating a marketplace that is valuable both to our retailer and exhibitor communities,” said Roy Turner, senior vice president and show director of Surf Expo. “We are excited about our stellar line up of buyers for our summer show, and more are signing up every day.”
Surf Expo currently has more than 4,800 buyers from more than 2,600 companies registered to attend the September show. Some of the notable boardsport retailers who are attending include: Tyler’s, which operates eight, large active lifestyle stores in Texas; Rooster, a modern men’s shop in Scottsdale, Arizona; Glik’s, which operates 71 stores in the Midwest; The House, an industry powerhouse based in Minnesota; Hawaiian Island Creations, one of the surf industry’s biggest accounts in Hawaii; Sun Diego, a high volume apparel retailer with seven stores; and Zumiez, one of the industry’s largest retailers with approximately 650 stores in North America.
Surf Expo is also popular with department stores, resorts, specialty chains and amusement parks. Buyers in those sectors that are attending include: Walt Disney Theme Parks and Resorts International; multiple Ritz Carlton properties; Six Flags Theme Parks; Sandals Resorts International; Dillard’s Department Stores; and Palmetto Moon, a Southeastern specialty chain with approximately 40 stores.
“We have an extensive and impressive list of more than 600 exhibitors coming to the September show, and we know our buyer community will have many opportunities to discover new products and brands while reinforcing relationships with existing vendors,” Turner said.
